Metadata Settings

Metadata is structured information attached to assets (such as images, videos, documents...) that describes or categorizes them.

What are Metadata Settings?

Metadata Settings allows you to create and configure metadata fields to be attached to your assets. These fields will appear in the Uploader, helping users input descriptive information when uploading content. For example: social status, content type, creator, release date, etc.

How to use Metadata Setrings?

⚠️ User Right Required: User must have the permission: “Is Client Admin - User can manage the Client Profile”.

🔹 Step 1: Navigate to Metaadata Settings

Go to: Client Profile → Settings tab → Metaadata Settings

🔹 Step 2: Metaadata Settings

• Metadata fields can be Text or Date fields and can have an entry for their name or title, a description for what the metadata field is about, a default value to appear as a selected entry in the metadata field and also the option to set selectable options.

• Configure options:

  • Include in Uploader: Enable this to show the field in the upload interface

  • Is Required: Enable this to make the field mandatory during upload

• Metadata fields that appear in "The Asset Details Step" of the Uploader.
