# Add Person and Tagging Faces Directly in Assets

Facial Recognition in HIVO allows you to add and manage information about people appearing in digital assets (images and videos) stored in your account. Adding people makes it easier for you to search, filter, and manage images and videos related to them 🤗.

## How to add people

Admins can add a new profile in the Recognition feature to track a particular face. Create a new Person to set up the profile you would like to track. **Note**: By default, HIVO sets a minimum of 5 faces required to automatically create new profiles for you and marks them as 'Anonymous'. * You access **"Recognition"** => Select **"Add Person"**

* And enter user description information => Click **"Submit"** to save.
* You can also tag **"Metadata Entry"** to increase search efficiency and user management.

## Tagging Faces Directly in Assets

Users with the [**User Right 'Can tag faces on Assets'** ](https://support.hivo.co/client-profile/users/list-of-user-rights)can assign a Profile to a detected face in an image or video.

* Make sure you have [**Run Automation Recognition**](https://support.hivo.co/recognition/run-automation-recognition) on the Library assets you want to assign people's profiles.
* Go to the [**Library**](https://support.hivo.co/library) and find the asset you would like to assign a person profile to.
* Click on the [**Asset Detail** ](https://support.hivo.co/assets/asset-detail-page)page for the asset.
* Hover your cursor over a detected face to reveal a bounding box.
* Click the bounding box to either Assign/Reassign a person to the face.

## Detect and check identities/ Find Similar and Reassign Person

For even greater control, HIVO provides identity detection and checks that the facial recognition technology has detected and matched the correct faces to the profile 😍.&#x20;

* From the asset detail page, you can click on 'More' and then 'Find Similar and Reassign Person'. You can check that all of the similar faces HIVO has detected actually belong together on the same Profile.&#x20;
* If you find any faces that do not belong to a People profile, you can easily 'Assign to New / Existing Person':

👉 **Note:** *You can edit the added person's information at any time and multiple people can be linked to the same asset (image or video) when multiple faces appear in the image:*

You can also search for all assets within your library containing that specific face, including:

* View All
* Search People In the Library

## Remove a person

Select the person's name, and the user information window will appear. Click on the 3 dots and select "Delete Face" to delete.
