2. HIVO Connector for Monday.com – Required Permissions
When you connect HIVO with Monday.com, the integration will request a set of permissions so that HIVO can read and update items on your boards as you work. These permissions are needed for features such as attaching assets, updating metadata, syncing asset status, and automating workflows between the two systems while remaining fully compliant with HIVO’s Privacy Policy.

2.1. “Read all of your boards data”
Why does HIVO need this permission?
To display your Monday.com boards, groups, and items inside the HIVO interface.
To let you attach or link HIVO assets directly to an item.
To sync information (e.g., asset status, version, metadata) back to the correct item.
What HIVO does (and does NOT do)
Only reads board data to support the actions you perform.
Does not modify board content unless you take an action that requires it.
Does not read private boards you don’t have access to.
2.2. “Write any of your boards data”
Why does HIVO need this permission?
To update items when you attach, replace, or sync HIVO assets.
To populate fields such as file previews, asset names, metadata, or status updates.
To support automations, such as “Update item when asset changes in HIVO.”
What HIVO will and will not write
Only updates the specific board and item you are working on.
Does not create or edit unrelated items.
Does not modify board structure (columns, groups, etc.).
2.3. “Read information of assets that the user has access to”
(Access assets stored in Monday.com that you have permission to view)
Why HIVO needs this permission
To allow HIVO to access, read, and download assets stored in Monday.com that you already have permission to view.
To support features such as:
Uploading Monday.com assets into HIVO
Syncing or versioning assets from Monday.com to HIVO
Displaying asset previews within the HIVO interface
