# Remove Duplicates During Upload (View Duplicate)

When uploading multiple **Assets** to HIVO at once, you may accidentally upload files that are duplicates of **existing Assets in the Library** or **Assets pending approval**. The **"View Duplicate"** feature helps you easily detect and manage these duplicates before uploading, preventing unnecessary storage of duplicate Assets 😍.

### 1. Add Assets to Upload

* Use the **Upload** tool to add the Assets you want to upload to HIVO.
* You can add individual files or select an **entire folder** containing the Assets.

### 2. Check for duplicates

After adding files or folders, click on the **"View Duplicate"** button to check for any duplicate files.

### 3. View duplicate information

When you click **"View Duplicate"**, a pop-up window will display comparison information between:\
✅ **The Assets being uploaded** and\
✅ **The existing Assets in the Library**

The pop-up includes:

* **The number of duplicate Assets found**
* **Details of existing Assets** (Name, creation date, size, etc.)

### 4. View details of existing Assets (optional)

You can view more details about existing Assets before deciding whether to delete an Uploaded Asset or not. Simply click on the Asset name in the pop-up window to go to the corresponding Asset Detail Page.

### 5. Handle Duplicate Assets

Based on the comparison information, you can decide to:\
✅ **Keep and upload new Assets** (if the content is different from the existing Assets).\
🗑 **Delete the uploaded Assets** (if the content is exactly the same).

**👉 Example Scenario:**\
You are uploading **10 product images**. After checking for duplicates, the system notifies you that **2 images are duplicates** of those already in the Library. You can:

* Click on the duplicate image name to view details on the **Asset Detail Page**.
* If the new image has a different angle or updated content, you can **keep and upload it**.
* If the new image is identical to the old one, you can **delete the new upload** to avoid duplication.
