When a new User receives an invitation (see ‘Inviting a User’), they will be sent an email with a link to the HIVO login screen. The invitation will take the User to the following dialog, where they must set their password.
If your company has setup a custom URL for it's HIVO accoount, you will need to sign into HIVO via this custom URL. If the custom URL is utilising your companies own domain, the URL convention will be: [something].yourcompanyURL. Please check with an Admin user of your HIVO account, if you are unsure whether your company has a custom URL setup for your account.
A returning User can sign into HIVO by navigating to the login page at: app.hivo.com.au, or the custom URL setup for your account, if your company has a custom URL setup for it's HIVO account (see the Returning User Signing In Via Custom URL option above).
Once you are accessing HIVO through the correct URL, the User should enter their email and password, then hit Submit to login (or use the Single Sign On option below if this has been configured for your companies account).
Note: If the User logs in while they are inactive, the User will reach a “your account is awaiting activation” message. See: Editing User Rights for steps on how to activate a User, or contact an account Admin at your company.
This section applies if your company has activated Single Sign On for it's HIVO account.
When logging in from the appropriate login page, the User should click “SINGLE SIGN ON” on the login screen where they can click one of the available Single Sign On procedures. Currently, Google and Microsoft Azure AD are supported. If you would like Single Sign on to be implemented within your organisation, please contact HIVO Support to arrange setup and configuration.
Selecting either GOOGLE or AZURE AD will display a popup where the User can login to HIVO via their external account. You will need to enable popups from HIVO in your browser.
Single sign-on (SSO) is a property of access control of multiple related, independent software systems. With this property you can log in with a single ID to gain access to a connected system or systems without being prompted for login credentials.
Single Sign On (SSO) capability allows organisations to make use of existing business wide SAAS solutions like Microsoft Azure AD and Google Apps. HIVO requires SSO integration to be activated by your organisation’s IT department to allow HIVO access at a system administration level, who in turn provide HIVO with your secure and unique tenant ID. It is a quick process and formally recognises HIVO as a safe and admissible web application that removes any blocking by the firewall or email notifications going to spam. Once SSO is connected via HIVO technical support team, the HIVO instance will be detected in the browser by your SSO tenant ID and prompt a login screen, consistent with all other connected applications (same email and password) to your organization's SSO provider.
Benefits of SSO include saving time on login processes, instantly being able to recognise all users across an organisation, and system security compliance.
Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) is a fully managed multi-tenant service from Microsoft that offers identity and access capabilities for applications running in Microsoft Azure and for applications running in an on-premises environment.
As Azure AD is an integral component for Office 365, Azure and Enterprise Mobility + Security and used by companies/organisations on a huge scale worldwide, it’s a convenient and secure option for our Clients to login to the platform using their Azure AD if they wish.
