🤔 Imagine your company uses a photo or video in a large marketing campaign and you didn't have consent from the people in the photo or video for it to be shared outside the organisation.
Consent Settings helps admins customize the permitted usage rights of people who appear in your organisations photos and videos. They help admins determine and setup controls and notifications for the correct use and distribution of assets and ensure assets are only used for a specific purpose that a company has consent for. You can read more about using the Consent module and features here.
Why should you use Consent Settings?
This module ensures transparency and compliance with relevant data protection regulations, such as Privacy Acts, GDPR, CCPA, and others, to protect users' rights and provide a seamless experience.
Navigate to: Client Profile => Settings => Consent Settings
Configuration options are appropriate:
Turn on/off consent management: This toggle turns the entire consent feature on or off in the account and will make consens statuses appear on images and videos that have people appear in them.
If you enable consent management, you need to set up the following configurations:
Set consent validity period: Configure the consent validity period and send a notification to the administrator before it expires. After expiration, users need to agree again. This setting also allows you to send a notification to your administrator before consent expires to promptly renew or re-collect.
Consent Usage Term: Set usage terms options when requesting/updating consent. These will appear as selections to include in the consent form. There must be at least one usage term.
Consent Terms and Conditions: Customize the terms and conditions that appear in the consent request form. This helps you provide users with detailed information about how their data will be used.
Consent Confirmation: Set up a list of confirmations required before the recipient can approve the consent request form. For example, you can require users to read and agree to the terms and conditions before submitting the form.
Note: Edit notifications received from Consent module within the user profile notify options. Read more about setting user notifications here.
