Global Rights helps you manage and set global user rights to all users in the account on mass, saving the need to set user rights at a group or user level if you want common user rights across all who login to your HIVO acccount.
Note: This setting is only for setting default global user rights. To set user rights for a particular User Profile or User Group, please access the user rights page via those features.
Setting up "Global Rights" in HIVO will help:
Make it easy to quickly assign blanket and global user rights and permissions to all users in the account when it is appropriate that every user has a common set of rights and permissions turned on.
Navigate to: Client Profile => Setting => Global Rights
Select user classification and customize user rights accordingly.
HIVO categorizes users into three groups based on their assigned permissions: Light Users, Regular Users, and Heavy Users (with reference to the “List of User Rights”):
Then, save changes so this takes effect for future uploaded Assets.
For example, belonging to the same organization but two user accounts with different permissions will have different access rights to assets, such as the right to view sensitive assets, the authorized account will be able to view it and the unlicensed account permissions will not be able to view it.
You can learn more here to install and effectively use Users, including: User Types, List of User Rights and User Profile. You can read more about Users here.
Note: Understanding these user groups helps you assign appropriate permissions within your HIVO account, ensuring users can perform their tasks effectively while maintaining data security.
If you have any questions about “Global Rights" or other features, don't hesitate to ask, we're always here to help!
