Tags are keywords that help you easily search for specific resources in HIVO's library. By using tags in combination with comprehensive search and filtering by tags, you can save significant time when you need to find resources.
👉 In HIVO there are 2 types of Tags: Manual tags and Automatic tags
Manual tags are those that have been inputted by a User or are taken from basic Asset information such as the filetype or Asset name.
You can create a list of tags by categories in Uploader Settings (Client Profile => Settings => Uploader Settings) and when uploading assets, you just need to select the tag from the created list. Or enter directly into the 'Tag' box before pressing 'Upload'.
Automatic tags are created using AI to detect a wide range of subject matter within Assets (e.g. tree, horse, mountain). This significantly reduces the amount of tags that would have to be added manually.
When Uploading assets, in the 'Asset Detail' step, you can tick or untick 'Tag Prediction' to enable/disable automatic tag creation status (you can also set the default in the Uploader Settings section). HIVO will automatically suggest tags based on the content of the photo based on analysis of objects contained in the asset. See more 'Uploading New Assets' here.
Either click the ‘Suggest Tags’ option inside an Asset Detail page. This may take some time to complete, particularly for video Assets, and is currently supported for most image and video file types.
When videos are automatically tagged by HIVO, a timeline is saved to the video Version. The timeline can be viewed by clicking the Show Tags icon on the video player (Automatically tagging videos may take longer than photos).
Upon clicking the tag icon, the video player drops down to reveal all tags predicted by Amazon's Rekognition Technology. Each tag exists on the graph as colored line, where the X-axis is the position of the tag in the video, and the Y-axis is the confidence score of the tag (from 60% to 99%). Click a tag to view the timeline for the particular tag.
You can edit tags for individual resources or for multiple resources at once. HIVO offers two methods to do this:
Note: Only applicable to individual resources, because you are actually acting on an asset.
Select Asset => Select View Detail. From here, you'll see all the tags (including manual and automatic tags) in your Content selection.
Click tags to modify their status
Click on the 'Type and hit Enter' box to select a tag from the pre-created list and click on the X (next to the tag name) to delete the tag.
For the Automatic Tag section, click the X (next to the tag name) to delete the corresponding tag (these tags are completely automatically created by Amazon's Rekognition technology so you can only delete them without adding new ones). If you want to remove them all, click the X next to Automatic Tags.
Note: Edit in bulk and apply to all Assets contained in that Folder
For example, if you tag folder 2022 with Brand, all assets contained in folder 2022 will have the tag Brand, the same goes for deleting the tag.
In Library, select Folder => Folder Action => Edit Tags.
At this time, the Edit window will appear, Click 'Add New Tags' to add new tags, and 'Remove Existing Tags' to delete the attached tags.
Note: Applies to multiple assets at the same time; when you want to customize a tag corresponding to a group of assets.
Select Asset whose tags you want to edit (You can hold shift and move the mouse to select multiple assets). In the Library Actions window, select ‘Edit Tags’
You'll get to where you can edit tags for selected content. This section displays a list of all tags currently associated with the selected asset.
individual mode Edit tag: displays an asset and tags related to that asset.
View all Edit tag: display all assets and all tags tags include: Tags contained in all assets and tags contained in only some assets (The number of assets with tags is displayed in parentheses).
Add Tag allows you to add new tags to all selected content. You can enter tag names manually or select them from a list of pre-installed tags.
Delete tags (click the X next to the tag name) allows you to remove selected tags from all selected content.
Number of currently selected assets is displayed at the top of the page.
Filter assets: This button allows you to filter the asset display list by specific criteria (default) such as Name, Production Date...
Currently selected asset: Click on the asset to select, click again to deselect.
Previous and Next buttons: These buttons allow you to navigate between pages of content if there is more content than can fit on one page.
Using tags makes it easy to track and access necessary assets when needed. So, don't ignore this feature.
