Metadata fields can be Text or Date fields and can have an entry for their name or title, a description for what the metadata field is about, a default value to appear as a selected entry in the metadata field and also the option to set selectable options. Meta data fileds can also be set as "is required" which means a user will have to input an entry to be able to complete the upload process.
