Collection Image Specifications

Below are a list of optimal Collection image specifications that can set for collection thumbnails, collection banner images and collection category thumbnail images.

Collection Thumbnail Settings - Optimal Image Specifications

• Collection thumbnails are the default thumbnail image that appears on each collection on the Collection summary page here:

• To modify the size that Collection thumbnail images are displayed, click the cog icon to the right of the Collection search bar and then set the => 'Display Size':

Collection Thumbnail Image - Optimal Specifications

• The optimal image size for Collection thumbnail images is 295x192 px, +- 33% for the large/small size settings.

• You can set the Collection Thumbnail image by clicking into a Collection and then clicking the three dots settings icon :

• Then click the 'Edit Info' button:

• Then you can set the Thumbnail image from the three options via url, uploading a new image from your computer, or picking an asset from the libray by clicking the fullscreen icon:

Collection Detail Page Banner Image - Optimal Specifications

• The Collection Detail Page Banner Image is the image seen below in the red box. Note: by default it will auto select a random image from the Collection when you upload assets into the collection for the first time:

• The Collection Detail Page Banner Image specs are variable. They use the screen's full width and roughly 175px height, so approximately 1280x175px on web and 390x175px on mobile.

• You can set the Collection Detail Page Banner Image by clicking on the three dots settings icon :

• Then clicking the 'Edit Info' button:

• Then set the image by copying and pasting the public shared url of the image you would like to use into the following field:

• Note: you can create a shared url link by generating a shared link on any image in your Library. Then open the shared link in your browser and then right click and copy the image url from the shared link page. See Sharing Assets for how to create a shared link on the Library asset you would like to use.

Collection Category Image - Optimal Specifications

• Collection Categories (see: Collection Categories) will only be visible when 'category view' is toggled on in the top right.

• Collection Categories can have a thumbnail image set to replace the default grey box by clicking the down arrow on the category => 'edit category thumbnail':

• The optimal Collection Category image size is 200x112.5, +- 25% for large/small size settings.

• You can then set the Collection Category Thumbnail image by copying in a shared link url, or selecting the asset from your HIVO library:

• Note: If you want to remove a Collection category thumbnail, follow the same process and click the 'X' in the file selector when setting the categories thumbnail.

• Categories that have a thumbnail are also allowed to be empty (have no Collections contained inside them).
