How to integrate HIVO with Salesforce
🔹 Step 1: Go to Salesforce Settings
Navigate to Settings → Apps → Installed Packages

Select Add New and Enter the Package Details as needed (name, description, access permissions, etc.)

🔹 Step 2: Create a Custom Content Component
In Installed Packages → Click Add Component

Select Custom Content Block → click Next

🔹 Step 3: Configure the HIVO Endpoint
Enter the Name and Endpoint URL as follows:
Save your configuration to complete the connection setup.

How to login HIVO in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)
🔹 Step 1: Access HIVO Integration in Content Builder
Open Content Builder
In Salesforce Marketing Cloud, select Content Builder from the main navigation bar.
Open the Content Blocks or Email Templates section where you want to add content.
Access HIVO Integration
Click Add Content Block → find HIVO Asset (under the Custom Blocks section).
Drag and drop the HIVO icon into your template.

🔹 Step 2: Log in
You can log in using one of the following methods: Log in easily via Single Sign-On (SSO) Or Log in using your HIVO account email and password.
👉 Method 1: Log in to Your HIVO Account using email and password
A HIVO login window will appear, enter your HIVO Email and Password.
Once successfully authenticated, you’ll be redirected to the HIVO Library within Salesforce.

👉 Method 2: Log in easily via Single Sign-On (SSO)
Case 1: You have an active HIVO login session (have not logged out)
The system will automatically detect your active login session.
You are not required to re-enter your email or password.
The authentication process will be completed automatically in just a few seconds.

Case 2: You have logged out of your HIVO account
When attempting to access HIVO from Salesforce, the system will automatically redirect you to the official HIVO login page for authentication.
Please enter your HIVO account email and password to authenticate.
Upon successful authentication, the system will automatically log you into HIVO within the Salesforce interface.

Search and View management from the HIVO Connector
The HIVO Connector provides powerful tools to help you easily find and manage assets while ensuring all displayed asset adheres strictly to your corresponding HIVO permissions and access rights.
1. Search Asset
Quickly locate assets using search bar, based on the asset's name, tags.
2. Advanced Filtering
Use the Filter feature to narrow down your search results based on specific asset attributes:
Filter by Type: Limit results by file format (Images, Videos, Documents).
Filter by Metadata: Apply filtering using custom metadata fields and their corresponding values.
Filter by Date: Filter results by specific date ranges, including:
Added date range
Produced date range

3. Switch View Mode
The HIVO Connector supports multiple view modes to accommodate various asset management and browsing styles:
View Mode
Description
Asset Mode
Displays all assets in a list format, ideal for searching by keywords or tags.
Folder Mode
Displays the folder structure of the asset library, allowing you to navigate based on storage hierarchy.
Collection View
Displays pre-created Collections. These are groups of assets organized by theme, project, or event, independent of their physical folder location.
Categories View
Displays assets sorted by predefined Categories within the system, typically used for classification by industry or content type (e.g., Marketing, Product Shots, Event Photos).

Resize Assets from HIVO Connector
The Resize feature within the HIVO Connector allows you to instantly create new image versions with custom dimensions, ensuring these versions are synchronized back to the HIVO library.

🔹 Step 1: Select Asset & activate Resize feature
In the HIVO Connector interface, select the image asset you wish to resize.
Click the Resize button to open the resize configuration pop-up window.
🔹 Step 2: Enter Name the New Version
Within the customization window, you must enter a Version Name for the new resized image. This name is mandatory for synchronization and storage of the resized version in your main HIVO library.
🔹 Step 3: Customize Dimensions & Advanced Customization
Customize Dimensions:
Suggested Dimensions: Select from a list of quick, suggested size options.
Select from Template: When choosing "Template," a list of Custom Versions predefined in your HIVO’s Version Settings will be displayed for selection.
Custom Dimensions: Manually enter the desired width and height according to your specific needs.
Advanced Customization:
Add Background (PNGs only): Allows you to add a background color if required.
Select Anchor Point: Set the anchor point (e.g., top-left, center) to ensure the key part of the image is maintained during cropping or resizing.
🔹 Step 4: Apply to resize asset
Click the Apply button to complete the resizing process.
Then, click “Embed” to insert the asset into the block or template.
Embedding Assets from HIVO Connector
Select the version of the asset you want to add, then click “Embed” to insert the asset into the block or template. If you want to replace it with another asset, simply repeat this action to choose a new one.

After selecting “Done Editing”, if you wish to change the inserted asset, click directly on the asset within the block — the HIVO Library will reopen, allowing you to choose a replacement.
Once finished, click “Save” to save your template.

⚠️ Troubleshooting Alert: Embed URL feature is not active on this client
This message indicates that your HIVO account has not been fully configured with the necessary permissions to display assets outside of the HIVO system.
For HIVO assets to be displayed and utilized (embedded) within SFMC, your HIVO account must be configured by an Administrator with two essential options activated:
Enable CDN and new Public Assets
Custom domain
Since the activation of these features requires high-level system administration privileges, please take one of the following steps for assistance:
