# Sensitive Settings

Does your organization store important information like **employee records, financial reports, or customer data**? If so, **Sensitive Settings** is the perfect tool to help you protect and control access to these sensitive digital assets.

### What are Sensitive Settings?

Sensitivity settings are features that allow you to **manage and restrict access to stored sensitive digital assets.** This feature ensures that only authorized users can view or handle these assets.

Why should you use Sensitive Settings?

* ***Maximum data protection**: Automatically flag and manage sensitive assets.*
* ***Prevent unauthorized access**: Ensure only permitted users can view or share sensitive files.*
* ***Efficient departmental access control**: For example, the HR department can restrict access to candidate records, preventing the admissions team or others from viewing them.*

### How to configure Sensitive Settings

#### 🔹 Step 2: Sensitive Settings

**1, Enable Default Sensitive Date**

* Automatically mark uploaded assets as “sensitive” after a set number of days.
* This is useful for time-sensitive content such as financial statements or personal data. After the specified time, assets are restricted from being accessed unless the user has the correct permission.

**2, Notify Admins When Assets Are Marked as Sensitive**

* Automatically sends notifications to administrators whenever an asset is flagged as sensitive.
* Helps administrators monitor sensitive content and take action such as reviewing access permissions or applying added protection.

**3, Notify Admins Prior to Assets Being Marked as Sensitive**

* Sends alerts to administrators a certain number of days before an asset is scheduled to be marked as sensitive.
* Allows time for review and adjustments before the asset is restricted, such as changing the setting or excluding the asset from the rule.

**4, Asset visibility management in Extensions, connectors and plugins**

Depending on your organization's preferences, assets **marked as sensitive** can now be optionally set to **either show or be hidden** in external extensions, connectors and plugins.

Users can also edit the **"Archive date"** after uploading the asset to the system. To do this, follow these steps:

* **Access the Asset Library -> Select the asset to edit**
* **Click “View Detail”**: Open the asset's detailed information page.
* **Go to the “Permission” tab**: In the detail view, navigate to the tab or section related to permissions and advanced settings.
* **Find the “Sensitive date” field**: Here, you can adjust or reset the date when the asset should be moved to sensitive status.
